Ghost-towns
Now and then an old road leads to a village nobody lives in: a lane with eight plots either side, a few houses still standing and the rest fallen to broken walls and rubble, a wagon left in the lane, a cage, a cauldron, and dead trees grown up between them. A sign at the way in still reads its name. There is one in Ashmoor, one in Saltmire, one in The Frostmark, one on Cairnholt Downs and one in Gravenwood.
Nobody will talk to you there. The dead gather among the plots instead: zombies, skeletons and ghosts, and there are ghosts in a ghost-town even in a zone that has none anywhere else. They come in packs, and like anything else that gathers at a place they pace about it and come for whoever walks in. Their kills pay as any creature's, and count toward their region's warden.
The minimap's line reads the town's name while you stand in it, and the zone's map (M) names it.
